Hi ! Information for the area around Ystad.

Hi fellow angelrs,

first of all I hope it is allowed to write in English. My name is Alex, orginally from Greece but live in Hamburg (Germany).
I will be in the area near Ystad for a few days with my family (end of August to beginning of September ).

While the trip is not fishing specific I will have my spinning rods and hope to have the opportunity to fish a couple of times and I would really appreciate some tips.
I am looking mostly for Pike (gädda) and also Trout (Öring).

From my quick research I decided to:

Try for Gädda at Svaneholmssjön (Catch and release is fine) with topwater lures (due to depth and vegetation)
Do you have any other suggestion ? Is it worth going to Lödde A this period ? Are the conditions good ?


For Öring
I found a lot of informatiopn about Nybroån river, and it seems very interesting and until 15.9 it is still allowed to fish.
I don't know if the current period and conditions are good though.

Is it worth it or are the conditions in the sea between Trelleborg and Ystad better ? how is the pike currently in that area ?

Any other recommendations are highly appreciated.

Hi.

For Öring tog should try "Engelska Bryggan" at the edge of Ystad Harbour. A reef where you can walk long in shallow water.
For Pike, perch and Zander there is Snogeholmssjön and Sövde sjön close to Ystad. Fishing license available via ifish app. Boats available to rent about 8 euros each for boat and license.
I myselfe live right between Ystad and Snogeholm and we fish there alot.
