Haspel-setup for Rad Dog?

I havent been using ‘Haspel-setups’ alot for pike-fishing, but lately i have been fishing Rad Dog spinnerbaits and some bigger inline-spinners on my baitcasting-setups.

It worked out, but the casting distances really is terrible.
Im sure i would cast way longer on a lighter ‘haspel-kit’, but the bigger spinnerbaits, like Rad Dog, is quite tough, and has alot of resistance when reeling in.

So how would they feel reeling in on a setup like, Prorex AGS 8’ 30-70 gr, Ballistic LT 4000DC 5,2:1 setup?

Too much ‘feedback’ from rod and reel?

I would go for a beefier rod (maybe ags 40-100) when throwing big spinnerbaits because the baits are ”heavy” to reel in so you dont use to much of the power in the rod by just reeling in the bait.

I have tried 3 or 4 spinning rods rated 60-70grams and the all lacked the power to comfortably fish bigger spinnerbaits.

I rarely fish spinning set-up these days, but I prefer a little heavier set up for bigger spinnerbaits, e.g. Roots - 130 gr. For some reason I also have noticed that some reels (e.g. Shimano GT) is hard to wind in with baits that makes lots of resistance in the water. With that in mind, I think is important to choose not only the right rod but also the right reel.

Unfortunately, I haven’t any experience on neither the AGS nor Ballistic.

The GT is har to reel with any lure if you ask me

Go with the XR 50-100 Rod its not so fast as the AGS but better for spinnerbaits I beleve. To that a Ballistic 4000 or maybe a 5000 size would be perfect!

En 5:1 rulle tar ju in betet lättare än samma rulle med 6:1 men har också huvuddrevets storlek en avgörande betydelse för inveveningskraften? Nya Daiwa LT ser ut att har stort huvuddrev i förhållande till rullens storlek - nog borde det ha viss betydelse eller?

Försöker inte sälja in Daiwa, bara nyfiken på om någon vet teorin eller t o m känt en märkbar skillnad i invevniningskraft mellan rullar med olika storlek på huvuddrevet...

Å andra sidan så minns jag nu att detta om drevstorlek och invevniningskraft diskuterades i annan multirulletråd där de som förstår saken, sade att det inte blir bättre kraft med de numera så vanliga och stora dreven i multirullar.... Är inte ingenjör så jag vete sjutton...
kan ju finnas andra effektförluster i en haspel mellan veven och rotorns rotation... friktion t ex.
