Good evening
Im looking for a new reel with a higher gearing to pair with a Daiwa Prorex AGS 120 gr.-rod.
I already have 2 x Daiwa Tatula 200HD 7,3:1 and a Daiwa Coastal 7,3:1. While i love these reels, the one i use on my AGS 120 doesnt seem to hold up to the heavy baits. I tend to “vev-jerke” alot with 100-110 gr. jerkbaits and it just isnt strong enough.
Im looking at the “new” Revo Beast 41 HS and the “old” Lexa 300 HSL for this job.
The Revo Beast looks cool, is a tad lighter and just seems appealing. But there isnt many long-lasting reportage from it yet. I dont know how it will cast with 70-90 gr. baits (the spool is heavy?) and i have bad experiences with the bearings on Revo Toro Beast.
The Daiwa Lexa is a Daiwa. And i like that. It should cast almost like the Tatulas cause of the samme spool-size and the Magforce casting-brake (- the TWS whatever thats worth)
Its a bit heavier and a bit outdated, and maybe there will soon come a new, updated series of Daiwa 300 reels with TWS and lighter weight?
What are you guys thinking, and any other reels to add to the mix with higher gearing?
Sorry for the english and Thanks in advance!
